The resolution of the digital version of this art book is unforgivably low. All graphics show evidence of both insufficient resolution and compression artifacts. The text is legible, but not crisp. If you are actually a fan of the artwork in this game, purchasing this product in digital form will only sadden you.
I loved Dishonored 2 and after spending countless hours (ok the game does actually count them and it was 36 for my first play through) exploring the world I was completely in love with the art style. This collection showcases the inspiration and artistic process behind the game and it really is a beautiful collection. There are few games that really demonstrate the blending of art and gameplay the way that Dishonored does and this artbook is a celebration of that balance. Glad to have this to flip through from time to time and dive back into the cites of Dunwall and Karnaca.
Can't download to my Kindle ipad, imcompatible version.Downloaded to mt Samsung phone kindle, cannot zoom into tiny images to see them. What's the point of paying so much for something I can barely see :(But thumbnail images look pretty epic!
Everything is even better than I expected.The only downside is that, despite significant volume and good printing quality, it doesn't cover a lot of brilliant artefacts of the game. Namely musical instruments and various minor details, like billiard, floor plans, mechanics of clockwork soldiers.I mean don't expect full coverage of the game, but rather a solid collection of concept art and character art.No "Death of the Outsider" art there too, just in case anyone wonders.
This book is chalk full of some of the greatest video game art ever created. The team of artists put on this game is a dream team. Their tastes and styles mesh perfectly with one another and compliment each other. If you're looking for something to get the creative juices flowing, or simply a fan, I HIGHLY recommend this book.
This book is gorgeous!! Near tears when I found the line drawings by Laurent Gapaillard. The layout is sleek and the book is packed with character designs, environment art, prop designs, mood paintings, and visualizations of how certain props or effects could be animated. A must have!
Love the dishonored games, and the version is really great!!And the artbook itself is awesome! beautiful arts, rich contents, etc... if you love the game, just buy, you gonna enjoy the book.However the kindle edition is not supported on iOS app, you can read on Kindle, Kindle Fire, or windows phone, but NO iPad. :(althought I love my kindle...but still have to refund and purchase a physical book.
Dishonored features one of the best art styles in gaming, so of course the official art book is not lacking in quality pieces. The print quality is superb and the book covers a lot of design elements that went into making the sequel. This is a perfect addition to anyone's gaming shelf.
